My Oh my, I have been busy with my kids this week and it seems since school is stating soon, this is how it will be for a time. But I have been busy reconsidering items I want to put into the store or not. I have so many projects half started that it seems as if I'll never get it done, yet I must push on. Well, since I've been busy with the kids, my ambitions were to high. Even though I did manage to get these items up, so I hope you enjoy the view and com again soon.

These are the first pair of kimono style shoes that I will be selling will look like

I bought the pattern from Lena's Patterns it is pretty cool and easy to work with. I also bought some other types of shoe patterns to use. I'll show pictures of those when I finish a pair for sale.

I have a Kindle that I just love. Well I couldn't afford to buy a leather case for it and I wanted a cooler one than what they offered. So this is what I came up with and I'm so proud of it I had to show it off.

These Pictures are of the outside front cover with the closer on and the other is the inside view of the case with my kindle inside.

These pictures are of the back and the other is of the inside of the cover with the front folded back and the closer applied so that the front is better controlled.

It is made from a book I bought to remove the pages. Then I covered it in a woven cotton print. The inside is black satin and trimmed in black satin ribbon. The my Kindle is held in by two figure eights of satin ribbon. The closer is made of fold over elastic (this was left over pieces I had). Well, I have thought I might make these for sale since it was so easy for me to make. What do you all think???? Your thoughts............Let me know.

Please, everyone and anyone I just wanted to let you all know that since times are hard for everyone I have decided to lower most of my prices, for a time. I also feel I have had bad advice in how to price items and thus the change needed to happen. I started this web store to offer affordable prices for cloth diapers and other items I can make, it started to get to be a bit much. I may at a later date raise a few but I would rather people get a good deal on items they need. I understand how hard it is and would like to pass my good fortune and talents on to others. Well as many of you know I have been studying hard to get my Bachelors Degree in Accounting. Since I just transferred to my new school and have changed my degree to what it is presently. I have not had a lot of time to do all the crafting I used to do, but I am working on finishing some of the things I have started sometime ago. Presently, I have been doing quite a bit of crocheting while I read my school books, thus I have a ton of bags to list tomorrow.

Many people have enjoyed my crochet rainbow bag (I have been carrying it for about a year now) and have asked if I could make one for them. Well here is your chance. I have 8 made and ready for a new home.

These are made just like the rainbow bag. These great totes are awesome for moms diaper bag, a purse, the beach, eco-friendly shopping, crafting, the gym, or as I do all of the before mentioned plus my school books. I just love the size, not to big but just big enough, they are soft, comfortable, and dare I say "fashionable" for any one. So enjoy the view or pick up a few since they are so reasonably priced.

Betsy's Baubles is no longer listed

Due to the fact that not one of Betsy's Baubles items sold, this artist has removed her items from Scrappy Nappy. I am sorry to see her go and wish her well in all of her endeavors. However, I do hope to maybe list some very nice jewelry for sale later this year.

My yard sale/craft fair was a total bust. I bought two tables for $40.00 and only sold $11.00 in used clothing and not one item from my store. On the bright side I sold a wool cover (from online) and made at least enough to cover for one of my tables.

I am hopeful to revamp the store a bit, making it a little-less cartoonish before the end of the year. All in all, I will be spending this year reevaluating everything I sell in my stores as well as how it looks. I will be adding new things as I think of them and I am in the process of working on patterns for sale. Some sewing and some crochet patterns. I also will have some FREE ones as well. I'm even thinking of offering some uTube video content of tips and tricks for sewing and crocheting. This will be a very busy year for me other than just making the items to sell in my stores, as many of you know I am first and foremost a mother to my four kids, but I'm also going to school online to be an Accountant (CPA). By next year I hope to have my BA in Business with concentrations in Accounting (hopefully I can also add Finance to that as well). I will also be working on my Associates of Applied Science degree in Deaf Interpretive Services. It has just been something I've always wanted to know.

Lastly, I hope this is a fruitful year for me and my family. And as always I will still offer you and your family my very best products that can be handmade, as well as, close to green items that I can.

So in further news I have decided not to change my store name but to embrace it. It is catchy and still relevant to what I'm doing with my store. I will soon finish and list the diapers I have here in my room as well as some children soft soled shoes, fleece covers, and fleece pants. I hope to have tons more ready for a craft fair I'm considering doing this year. I'll be taking my toys, doll items and my wonderful crochet bags. Oh hello all I've been very busy with my kids and trying to get back to making some new and wonderful things for you all. But I have also been thinking about changing my focus. I have still tons of left over baby diapers that need to be finished and other items I will not be making anymore. I have added jewelry, crochet bags, and I'll be adding a few others so I'm also considering changing my name. But I'll still be making my wonderful wool soakers so not sure what to do as of yet. I may not be able to add anymore new items for at least one month so that I can work on getting my home, kids, and craft room ready for some changes. I appericate all your support in my endeavors and would love to be ready for Christmas this year with tons of great new and fun products for the whole family.

Oh okay all you Scrappy Nappy Fans I finally have something new listed in the store today. I meant to do it on friday, but was busy with things for my kids. I did list 1 item late Saturday but didn't get the others till today. Well I've also been working on stuff for my church, the preshool my kids go to, new patterns, items for my family, items I've been promising my daughter, items I never finished, new mediums to work in...... well I disgress. The list could go on and on. But without further adew here's what I'm now offering Crochet Shopping Tote Bags. Some are plastic and some made from acrylic yarn. They are a fashionable eco-friendly solution for all you're shopping needs. Who ever said you can't be "green" and fashion forward, well they were wrong. Just feast your eyes on my handy work.

First up the plastic- These paticular ones were made from garbage bags (new and unused) I will offer some like these that are made from grocery bags but I haven't finished the one I started yet. (it takes a lot and I use totes for most of my shopping. Needless to saw I don't get a lot of plastic ones.)

I'm a little late today listing but here it is. I made these bibs, I've been making these for years for friends and family. I love the ones I made for my kids so I decided to list these for sale. Who said being a SAHM (stay at home mom) was easy is a lair, LOL. I have been very involved lately with my church so I didn't get a lot done. But I did re-organize my room so I can find items to finish. Now if only I had the time, HEE HEE. Any who I'm working on more stock of my stacking cups, making bunnies, some bears and a duck slipper I found a pattern for. (so cute) However I did get this hat done and 3 more started. enjoy the view.

Well I didn't get must done this week and I had not listed anything last week. I was really busy with the kids and work at the church. Any who this week I was developing a new pattern for crochet stacking cups and a crochet brimmed skull cap. The first of many was listed today, as always with my skull caps they are all OSFM about age 3 or 4 all the way up to adult size.

So far I am very pleased with the hat but I'm working on making some stock of the stacking cups, since I recieved so many compliments on them. The stacking cups should be listed by this friday 2/26/2010. But here is a sneak peak at the proto-type I have made.

there is a child chocking safty device pictures with them to show how big they are the smallest one doesn't fit in the device without forcing it.

Now these are just a proto-type made in primary colors but I can do them in secondary or rainbow shades too. I came up with this idea of making crochet soft stacking cups because I don't really like the idea of the hard plastic kind and not really sold on the cardboard ones, since my boys are really rough on toys. But I really like the soft blocks I had and made some others for my LOs so I thought why not soft stacking cups. I made these from acylic yarn and I figuring a price around 15.00-20.00 for the price not sure yet.

Well for those of you that have followed me from Ebay to my hyena cart, Diaperswappers, and etsy cart. I just want to say thanks so much for your support. Now that my children are growing up and out of diapers. I feel it is time for Scrappy Nappy to grow as well. I will soon discontinue all cloth baby diapers and some of the diapering extras I have made. So as for my Mama pads this spells doom for them as well since I will not have the scraps from the diapers to make them, these to must go. I will be making more crochet items and I'm considering making purses and bags for the Ladies. As an example here is one of my rag bag proto-type (I'm testing it as we speak)

I'm excited to be offering such a nice item for Mom's pleasure. With all the bells and whisles too. I'm still working on a price as well. Looking to be around $30-$55 so far, so it will be in keeping with what you could spend at any store but with the OOAK flavor you just can get anywhere else. Plus it will be a close to "green" (earth-friendly) as possible and beautiful to boot.

However I will still offer some toys, cloth diaper wool covers (occationally), cloth diaper compatible pants, some kids clothes, and some bibs. New items will be hats, sweaters, purses, vintage style items, and new items with a vintage flare. I'm also working with some other artisans to offer you handmade jewelry. Another item to be added and also in progress are patterns for you to sew and/or crochet. These will all be purely printable so no shipping cost. Just download, print, and go.

I just finished 2 new items for my store and listed them today. As soon as I finish the other 2 I have, I'll list those for sale as well. Then I'll start a new pattern. (I've been trying to teach myself to read crochet patterns.) I hope you like the view.
These are both Kimono Style sweaters. The Berry color one is a 0-6 months size and the Dark Green one is 12 months/1 year size. (I will be making another one with the dark green and light green reversed and another girly color one)

I've been busy thinking of new things to add to my store and here is some thing I've come up with. How about cooties?

Cooties- The cutest bug you'd like to get. I promise these little germs won't get you sick, but you might chuckle a bit at them. Guaranteed H1N1 free. (hee, Hee)

I was thinking of selling them for 4.00 each plus shipping.
They are made of acrylic yarn and they are stuffed with polyfil. But the arms and legs are all crochet as 1 piece with the body. The faces are embroidered with the same kind of yarn and triple secured on the inside.

What My craft room looks like before I started to work on it

Well I know no one likes to show their craft room when its a mess. Well I will

Well the only reason it ended up looking like this is that about 2 years ago I gave up on crafting and my room became the dumping ground for anything that didn't have a place. I got a job to help ends meet. Well needless to say I ended up prego with baby #4 and has some preterm labor. I wasn't planning to have another baby but I thought a happy healthy baby was more important than money in my pocket. So I quit my job to take care of myself. Well when the baby was born he hardly ever slept and he cried all the time. I was breastfeeding but have a lot of problems with it. I then had issues with my thyroid (again) and my milk dried up so I have to formula feed. Then threw trial and error I found out he is lactos sensitive. (Goodie) any who things are getting better and he's almost 1 year old now. So now it's time to finish what I started and get it out of here. I've tried to sell the parts but no one wanted it. So I'll finish it and sell it then.

So keep checking back at my store (Scrappy Nappy HC) I keep finishing things and adding them to the store weekly.

Well as of yet I'm working on changing a feel things on my site and reworking my header for the store. I'm working on finishing and listing all the items I cut out 2 years ago. Wow time has just flew by me. I have some items I cut out 4 years ago then abandon them. Needless to say I no longer need them but some one else might. So I well be finishing it all and adding that as wel to the store ASAP. For now this is a great view for all I'm adding thes week. Just scroll down and enjoy.

I've also added a ton of baby leggings I've made. The prices range from $3.50-$4.00 a pair. That's such a great deal. Well anyways I hope to have some sales soon. I've been working hard to clear out my room to make some money to buy a new refrigerator (ours came with the house and was consitered to be old then. That was almost 9 years ago.)

Hi to all I'm Sandi owner of Scrappy Nappy HC. I'm a SAHM to 4 beautiful kids ranging in ages 11 months old to 8 years old. That's 1 cute little girl and 3 crazy little boys. I'm so excited to now be here and talk to you all more. The store is to sell what I create in my spare time (LOL). I do take my time with all my items so it is quite nice quality that I'm offering. I have been sewing, crocheting and crafting since I was a young child (more than 25 years of experience). I love to make things and I'm open to making new and some custom items as well. Although I will only make items for babies, children and a few items for mom.

I can be reached on Twitter, Myspace, and Facebook. I try to get on them at least 2 times a week or more. Also I try to stock new items in my store on fridays and saturdays. I just love making things and chatting about making things. I hope to use this place to post links for parents and kids to use. As well as chat about upcoming projects I have, raising kids, and sometimes just to vent. I hope to make some friends and maybe some customers as well. Well one of my kiddos is yelling at me so I have to go for now.
